Background

Matt Guardia brings over 15 years of experience driving growth, operational excellence, and value creation across global life sciences and healthcare companies.

Most recently, he served as Vice President of Finance and Administration at Sastra Cell Therapy, a VC-backed biotech, where he led finance, fundraising, and human resources.

Previously, Matt was Head of Finance at Abzena, where he built and scaled global finance functions and led a business transformation through initiatives in sales, inventory, liquidity, and operational effectiveness, ultimately relaunching the company to achieve record revenues and delivering profitability.

Earlier in his career, Matt held senior finance leadership roles at Ligand Pharmaceuticals, where he led finance and business integration efforts, and at Enovis (Blackstone PE-backed), where he managed the execution of a two-year strategic operational plan across 10 initiatives, including sales, product profitability, outsourcing, reimbursement, receivables/payables, liquidity, and organizational effectiveness leading to successful M&A activities.
